Talent representatives from NBC Universal will be meeting with Native American actors for non-specific roles in March, 2009. This open call is designed to increase diversity in NBC Universal's expanding talent pool for Universal Pictures films and NBC television programs. The event is being sponsored by the DiverseCity NBC and the NBC Talent Diversity Initiative.
As part of NBC's ongoing commitment to diversity, the NBC Talent Diversity Initiative was created to promote & sustain on-camera diversity through community involvement and development, showcasing non-traditional casting choices, and creating programs to raise awareness at NBC and within the entire entertainment community.

The Public Theater will also host NBC Universal's Native American Talent Outreach panel discussion and networking open call. NBC executives will offer a free industry panel discussion geared toward Native artists on March 9 at 6:30 PM.
