Santostefano directed the 2008 direct-to-DVD "Another Cinderella Story," which was also written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott. Patterson and Scott won a Writers Guild of America Award for that video, and Selena Gomez won a Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special - Leading Young Actress. "Another Cinderella Story" aired on the ABC Family on January 19, 2009.

The style of the movie is described as similar to “High School Musical” and “Glee.” Dylan Sellers will produce under the banner of his production company, Unique Features. Sellers also produced the first two "Cinderella Story" films. Clifford Werber and Ilyssa Goodman, both also alumni from the first two films, will again executive produce.

The lead and supporting roles are being cast out of both Los Angeles and Wilmington, NC. All of the film's extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles will be cast in Wilmington.

Lucy Hale

Cyrano De Bergerac meets Cinderella. Over-worked, harried and terrified of being put back in foster care, 17 year old Katie Gibbs (Lucy Hale) does her stepmother, Gail Van Ravensway, and step-siblings' bidding without complaining. Vocally gifted, Katie feels particularly upset when forced to lay down singing tracks so that her very-untalented stepsister, Bev Van Ravensway, can hopefully win a recording contract from Massive Records - who's company President, Harvey Morgan, is scouting for new talent at a spectacular Bollywood-themed talent showcase for the Performing Arts Department at a prestigious private school.
