An open casting call is scheduled this Saturday July 12, 2014 seeking Hispanic adults and children to work as fully paid extras in the thriller feature film Sicario starring Emily Blunt and Benicio del Toro.The casting director is looking for people that are willing to work as Albuquerque, NM local hires. Union and non-union actors are welcome to attend the open call. The casting directors have stated that newcomers are welcome.
Sicario centers on a female cop from Tucson, Arizona who heads to Mexico with two mercenaries tasked with hunting a very rich but cowardly drug kingpin named Fausto. Once they cross the border, all hell breaks loose as they must deal with a corrupt Mexican cop who is also a drug-runner and participates in other illegal activities. Golden Globe Award winner Emily Blunt plays the lead role opposite Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro.
BAFTA Film Award nominee Denis Villeneuve will direct Sicario from an original screenplay written by Taylor Sheridan. Trent Luckinbill and Thad Luckinbill of Black Label Media will produce along with Molly Smith. AFI Award winner Basil Iwanyk will also produce. Executive Producers are Erica Lee and Ed McDonnell.
